Read a new short story about what food means in space. Each month, Future Tense Fiction—a series of short stories from Future Tense and ASU’s Center for Science and the Imagination about how technology and science will change our lives—publishes a story on a theme. The theme for April–June 2019: space settlement. posted by Homo neanderthalensis (4 comments total) 15 users marked this as a favorite

The leek/leak homophony send like such a good detail in the English translation that I have to wonder if it's similar in the original Chinese?

Hard sci fi plus familial conflict plus food? Yes, yes, yes. I'm digging the food in space exploration and pondering the leap from lettuce to leeks . . . and beyond.
