(but then I watched it mere minutes after leafing through the last issue of my subscription of MAD magazine. I feel blessed that my subscription ended the same time MAD did. At least they finished with a Trump Bestiary, Mrs. Mazel, Batman at 80, Fox movies added to Disneyland, a Lion King bit with the actors before being CGI'd into animals, and a parody NOT of the Tarantino movie but of the TV western within the movie. Pretty funny and requiring no deep faking.)

Two issues: No dog with mustache, and they left out the bit where the door opens and Nick Offerman's face gets painted by accident.

Not since Aphex Twin's Windowlicker video have so many people had the same face, to such unnerving effect. I thought they'd just slap a mustache on everyone, but noooo they went full Offerman. Love/hate it!

It's getting difficult to enjoy these knowing that political deep fakes are going to get people killed, but at least we now have a decent video to send our aunts and uncles when they start sharing the weaponized ones on Facebook.

I think clearly-labelled deepfake memes are kind of useful, because they spread awareness of how widespread and accessible this technology has become. We'd probably be better off if deepfakes did not exist, but ignoring them is not going to make them go away. People are less likely to be duped by malicious ones if they're more savvy about this stuff.
Now I want a deepfake of Offerman-mustachioed House Hippos.
