The Big Lebowski Cremation Urn. You'll probably have to make it yourself. Here's how.

Memento Memorials has a bunch of tasteful designs, including a Medieval Tent Feline Urn and the Meta Cremation Urn series.

I remember reading a piece where the owner of Archie McPhee's novelty emporium claimed the ''Modest Urn", a clear Lebowski homage coffee tin, was one of his biggest mistakes- aha found here

Also pleased to see the Modest Urn still for sale (and clearly a most modestly priced receptacle)

My dad’s in a Charles Chips can. Much more room than a coffee can.

It is our most modest urn.

A+ on the post title.

I feel like a modern coffee can is more in line with the spirit of the movie, a vessel born of convenience and thrift. Hunting down something period correct is way less Dudelike.

We got my grandma in ziplock bags when we went and spread her ashes so there’s at least one ethical crematorium out there...

Donny was a good bowler, and a good man. He was one of us. He was a man who loved the outdoors... and bowling, and as a surfer he explored the beaches of Southern California, from La Jolla to Leo Carrillo and... up to... Pismo. He died, like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364. These young men gave their lives. And so would Donny. Donny, who loved bowling. And so, Theodore Donald Karabotsos, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which you loved so well. Good night, sweet prince.

I would not have guessed that my ashes will absolutely not fit in a single full size folgers can, and in fact I would take up nearly two.

What was all that shit about Vietnam? What the fuck has anything got to do with Vietnam? What the fuck are you talking about?

I never drank coffee myself, but if I were to use coffee cans (plural), they'd have to be Wilkins, the old brand that was first to feature Kermit and the Muppets in its TV ads. But more appropriate for me would be a Kool-Aid pitcher (with the smiling face), or a hat like a fez (because fezes are cool) or just a Costco shopping bag.

Now I want to buy a whisky quarter-cask to put my ashes in. I don't want to buy it with the whisky actually in it, mind you, or my remains would end up inside it sooner rather than later...

I had to spread my father's ashes earlier this year, and as fucked up as I was with it being just a few days after he died, I still managed a smile thinking about that scene.

From the article:
Sometimes a seller is wise to the rarity and possible end use as a Big Lebowski Urn and jacks up the price.

This will not stand, ya know, this aggression will not stand, Man!

Yeah well, you know, that's just like your opinion, man.

Man this makes feel really old. It’s funny the Pavlovian response I have to also start reciting my favorite bits.
