Loved that article, thanks!

And am I missing something, or does the article not have an author listed anywhere?

It looks to be one of Pass notes and those I spot checked didn't have authors listed. A range of topics! "A quick chat designed to tell you everything you need to know about a story you don't need to know about"

But was he a good boy?

If you just looked at his face from this angle, he could be a dirty pup who is just doing a snooze

Agree with the interviewer. The proper research involves letting us pet him - it's what he would have wanted!

126,000 in dog years.

I know dog years were recently debunked or something and I don't care.

aww he looks like a little scruffer having a nap! such perfect preservation. It will be fascinating to learn more about the history of weredog development as analysis continues.

So I left the article kinda wanting to shake the Guardian reporter.

IFR has a story with a little more information in a much less twee style.

And for the source, there's the Center for Palaeogenetics (CPG).

The IFR story that happyroach linked to is definitely worth looking at. Less twee and a close-up of Dogor's teeth. I don't care how young he was. I would not get into a play fight with anything that had those canines.

How could the article fail to mention he was found in front of Panucci’s Pizza?

I hope I remember the name Dogor for the next "what should I name this puppy?" AskMe.

Maybe they can find the DNA of his dog/wolf, or human friend, family on the top of his head, where he was licked or petted. Some snot nosed little human may have endowed him and us with lots of news.

Oyeah, that is probably a long shot, but if it happened, it happened because someone held their poor little pup and wept. I can imagine it too clearly.

Oh my god no. What if it was just a sloppy wet kiss and pupper had a congenital heart condition and died later that night in its sleep.
