The grammar may not quite check out in that sentence.

Just in case it's not obvious to anyone else, double click on a node to bring up the next set of edges and nodes.

This is really fascinating. Thanks for posting it.

It's probably going to take me at least a couple of days to memorize all of these.

I'm terrible at chess, but this is pretty cool. I also love youtubers like agadamator who inform me that as of the 9th move by white we have a brand new game, one not in our database.

am i using this wrong? it seems to run out of moves pretty early. my go-to as black is the caro-kann, and it stopped after:

1. e4 c6
2. d4 d5
3. Nc3 dxe5
4. Nxe4 Bf5
5. Ng3 Bg6
6. h4 h6

and like given that this is a fairly commonly played line this is honestly several moves before even casual players run out of book.

does it go deeper on like sicilians or whatever? the openings where you're like 20 moves deep but still in book?

Tried a couple roy lopez openings , hit paywall. Besides my lack of intuitive control over the interface, which I like, that's my "I want to click on everything" issue. Wow, pretty and cool.

The tree style isn't an improvement for me over chesstempo or FICS database.
Chessarena is in the rotation, good for study after.

For white just study:
1. e4 e5 2. Ke2!!!!
Against any opponent under about 2000 this opening is unbeatable.

Well I'm under 2000, and hope to have Black against you some day.

Against someone rated 540 points lower? Even against a NM, that's a winning expectation of 95.7%.

...
Uh, oh. I just realized my irony detector is broken. I'll go try and fix it. Carry on.
