Ohrwürmer über die Mathematik.

DorFuchs makes catchy songs about universal, heart-touching themes such as the quadratic formula, complex numbers, the derivative of the sine function, partial fractions, geometric series, and basic combinatorics.

I believe Schubert did something similar in terms of songwriting but we have learned more about mathematics since his time.

My German is ser schlecht however these are so catchy I feel like I'm learning both more math and more German - thanks!

(Though I would like to find subtitled versions so I can interpret better)

Love it!

142857 (Mathe-song)

This one about decimal expansions of numbers divided by 7 illustrates one of my favorite arithmetic patterns circa 6th grade. You don’t need to understand German to appreciate this one—the graphics will get you there.

Lucy Kaplansky also sings songs about math.

Her father was the mathematician Irving Kaplansky, who was also an amateur musician.
