One of numerous levels this great-but-once-is-enough movie induces anxiety.

I didn't notice the decor because I was gasping for air while trying to hold claustrophobia at bay. The feel bad movie of the decade? Once was too many for me.

After some quick googling, I found "Haute Baroque Capitalism", which I originally found here.

I saw Uncut Gems just before New Year’s with a small group and spent the following two days discussing it. Decor mattered and this article did a good job of articulating why.

Although no-one claimed to enjoy it, all agreed it was the perfect movie for 2019.

That is excellent!

After reading it, I feel there is also something about infantilization going on. It's just a beginning thought, but something I'd like to explore.
