Wow! Spidey and Transformers, back-to-(almost)-back?! Is this website in my head?!

But hey, if you want your own Decepticon throne usurper, you can get a two-foot-tall transforming version this Summer!

That looks absolutely awesome! I owned the OG Scorponok toy as a far-too-old-for-Transformers-kid, which was my only massive one (not counting the Combiners) but I lost his Zarak pretty quickly. Used to sub in that crocodile Decepticon HeadMaster's partner instead. Or one of the Autobot ones if I was feeling plotty. I would always set up elaborate bedroom floor covering story-filled battlefields of the various toys posing bearing weapons on each other like a diminutive robot Reservoir Dogs. God, I wish I'd had a camera or a smartphone back then to capture it!

I've just watched a couple of Chris McFeely's equally good other video overviews on both Grimlock and The Wreckers, so I'm pretty chuffed that scorpionday has actually led to me discovering A New (Old) Thing.

If you like YT videos about Transformers, I would also suggest checking out Toygrind. In fact, sometimes I think his are the greatest YouTube videos of any kind. But I will admit that's partly because I love Transformers. Anyway, Thew Adams' prolific portmanteaus and quick-witted, but self deprecating, humor make even the dullest of toys sound like a rollicking fun time!
