Um, this was amazing?

When are we getting a B-52s/Slayer supergroup album a la FFS by Sparks/Franz Ferdinand?

And the first youtube comment is funny:
" I've always misheard the line as "Raining blood from a lobster in the sky". Thanks Bill, my life is now complete. "

A. Maze. My fiancee & her pals MUST dance to "Rock Lobster" at every wedding. Forwarding to them now, with my thanks, matching towels. Maybe we'll play this version at our shindig...

Along the same type of thing, how about L'enfant au Tambour; a mashup of The Little Drummer Boy and Bolero; and Bohemian Rhapsody in Blue.

Everything on Bill McClintock's channel is a high-quality mashup, but germane to the B-52s in particular is "Slipknot and The B-52s - 'Slipshack.'"

I watched only the first few verses, but I kind of wish this was more Slayer-centric?

Ah. You might enjoy Edwin Starr and Slayer - "War (On and on South of Heaven)"

Thank you, mandolin conspiracy. I'm a freak for mashups and I didn't know this guy, and he belongs up there with Wax Audio, Neil Cicierega and lobsterdust. You (and matching towels, who started this thing) have given me a great gift today.

Love Shack Trigger - Devil May Cry vs. The B-52's
A humble submission in this vein, involving possibly the most butt-rock anthem to come out of gaming lately.

Either this post or this post was what first brought Bill McClintock's mashups to my attention.

For my money, Guns n Roses and Stevie Wonder - "Living for the Paradise City" is pretty outstanding.

Chemical Warfare (Don't It Feel Good?) is the anthem of our age.

Walk Like an Angel of Death is pretty sweet too.

lobster walks into a psychologist's office and says doc you gotta help me, my dominance hierarchy has broken down and all my larvae are postmodern marxists, it's chaos on the seafloor, doc, chaos. fuck, says the doctor, might have been a mistake to get quite that hardcore about getting off the benzos.
