I'll give it this -- the time I've spent waiting for it to download is definitely reminding me of 2004.

Amazing how far we've come but I guess it has been 16 years since Doom 3 was released.

Now you can run it in a browser while complaining that it's too dark, while I snarl "It's SUPPOSED TO BE DARK" under my breath.

The mention of iOS is interesting - I wonder if WASM can provide a way of bringing AAA games to Apple and *nix platforms, even if they are legacy titles.

You can run it in a browser on your phone. The future is weird.

I ran out of memory on iOS, so *shrugs*

I get 25 fps on a Raspberry Pi 4.

I guess that post comparing the Pi to a Powermac G5 isn't so far off.

After leaving the game and closing the tab I was playing in, I had to close my browser window completely to get the game to let go. I kept getting that "We have control of your cursor" drop-down, otherwise.

I couldn't get past the menu on my iPad, but on my ancient MacBook Pro, I got a good 60fps.

Getting cursor grabbiness here, too (Chrome, Mac).
