British folkies Katherine Priddy, Jon Wilks, Lucas Drinkwater, Jon Nice and Knees Thompson have just collaborated (remotely, of course) on this cover of Nick Drake's Northern Sky. It's quite the loveliest thing I've heard all week.

(Apologies to Mr Drinkwater: I've just realised he spells his first name with a "k".)

Knees Thompson really rocks that joint.

Thank you for this. I find I've become so sensitive to tenderness these days, just undone by anything soft and caring. This is a very tender thing.

After listening to this twice, I relaxed so much that I involuntarily took a deep, shuddering breath. Wasn't expecting that.

Thanks for sharing.

nice take.

the original in case you haven't heard it ... which I happened to find myself listening to yesterday, the mp3s on shuffle.

Lovely and chill (while simultaneously heartwarming)!

Thanks so much for sharing. I am often too invested in the original voice to be able to enjoy a new version of a song, but this was lovely and very moving, plus it made me think of listening to some Nick Drake to help fall asleep.
