Dan Goodsell and Dallas Poague

Dan Goodsell and Dallas Poague bring my (and maybe your) childhood back to life with page after page filled with images of delightful (and sometimes creepy) memorabilia. Oh, the hours I spent commanding a Mission to Mars while sugared-up on Dinky Donuts and Rootin' Tootin' Raspberry FunnyFace.

Amazing find. Thank you for this.

Since I was so young when a lot of this was available, my brain is having a hard time remembering if the toys and packaging I saw as a kid was their doing, or people emulating their style.

Oh nevermind, I misread. Still, thanks.

Crash, dude, now everyone here's gonna know we're old (the Quisp Copter particularly brought back memories of many a happy morn before the school bus arrived. Damn I loved that tschotchke).

What no Ovaltine? I could drink that stuff by the truckload, or just go to this joint.

Great stuff indeed. See also: Yesterdayland for your complete nostalgia needs.

Funny, I almost posted this a little while ago, but probably got distracted... hey, is that a donut over there?

I went to college with Dan. Sharp sharp guy with a nicely odd sense of humor, as you can probably tell. There was always that hunk of mirth in his art.

Oh, man, I still have a distinct flavor memory of Koogle. Didn't they also have a banana flavor?
