ha! I remember this (the three versions of Telephone) being tried as a thing before with the "male" and "female" version of Dictionary of the Khazars.

Anyway, Percival Everett is a delight, and prolific enough that I have only dipped my toe in his vast body of work. Erasure is a weird one to start with, by the way, but fun.
