Hello everyone! We're the Clark family. Colt (the Dad) is a professional musician and Aubree (me, the Mom behind the camera) is a photographer. Together we home school our three children (even when we're not in the middle of a pandemic). :) We're keeping busy during our time at home by

The little girl doing the endless backpack dance is amazing.

Does your summary cut off on purpose? "We're keeping busy during our time at home by" -- ? Is that supposed to be the tease to make us click, or are you missing words?

Another fun end-of-week experience. Thanks, OP, I enjoyed that.

Also, I am a sucker for "I'm a Believer."

This reinforces my current belief I’m a failure as a parent.

Tzikeh, I actually just copied their byline verbatim, and didn’t editorialize it

Generally speaking, not making your kids your backing band is a point in a parent's favor.

Before it's said and done he'll be lucky to be in her backing band.

You kind of expect it to be cloying and awful and click-baity but instead it's sweet and sincere...like this family is just...I don't know, having fun together? Approved.

This is fun.

It also makes me wonder what six year olds today think when they hear Graceland. I think I understood it less, but respected it more when I was 15. I didn't know about it before that. I still can't not love it, despite some significant caveats. But, the lyrics are about as removed from ideal kid life as any pop music gets. Maybe that's not the important part.

I've no objection to letting kids hear adult things. I'm just curious what they make of it. I want the follow-up interview where they ask the kids to describe what the song means.

Both of the top choices -- Call Me Al and Come Together -- are kind of dubious for a kid's ensemble. Also, er, Start Me Up. (though they change the most dubious line to "you make the quarantine fun", and the girl ... she moves like Jagger).

And I did like how the girl jumped in when the line's about a cartoon (in a cartoon graveyard) in the Paul Simon song.

My son only started playing appreciating playing music with me when he became an adult.

Anything before that and he kept telling me that I sucked!

Nice shimmy at 1:03 in I'm a Believer

I also thought this would be insufferable. But it's fun!

Due to a brain fart I was hoping for this instead. But hey, now I've seen it too.

That's a good Come Together, and they 100% made the right decision to put her in front. There were some nice Jagger prances in there, and her outfit + ponies combo is perfection. "BYE! BYE!"

Here's the full intro text. It doesn't show up as complete on all their YT videos, but I found it on Rocky Racoon.

We thought we'd record them and share as we go. Hopefully it brightens your day! This is Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids playing, "Rocky Raccoon” by the Beatles. "
