"…flagrantly disregarding social distancing guidelines"

Because 2020 couldn’t get any weirder, residents in San Jose, Calif., came face to face with about 200 goats wandering through their neighborhood Tuesday evening. The scene, which looked like some bizarre version of the first few minutes of Dawn of the Dead, was captured on video by new local hero Zach Roelands. “This is the craziest thing to happen all quarantine,” he wrote in a tweet sharing the footage. We’re not sure that’s completely accurate, but it’s definitely up there on the list.

At least it's not murder goats.

.... yet. It is 2020. We should expect murder goats.

No way, it'll be June, per this tweet in the murder hornet thread.

Can relate. One of our bunches of pigs liked to break out and go visit the neighbor's yard, an immaculately groomed and manicured yard, a yard beaten into submission by a man who doesn't allow as much as a single dandelion to disturb the order. He was crouched down over some bit of landscaping, deep into whatever he was listening to in his earbuds, when he was snouted in the butt-crack by an inquisitive pig. I was running in his direction and saw how high he jumped, and it still makes me laugh.

OMG yes, I really wish my dog could experience something like that just once in his lifetime. It would be paradise for him.

Ia! Ia! The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young! Looks like a certain Great Old One has decided to vacation in the Silicon Valley.

It would seem that the goats are living deliciously. Perhaps they would like the taste of butter.

If this happened in the East Bay, it'd be turkeys.

That one dog is like

FINALLY
I think that's one of the herding dogs employed by the company.

The herd looks similar to the herd they bring in every year to trim the vegetation on the old landfill hills near Sunnyvale's waste treatment plant; I know that company also uses a couple of herding dogs to round up the goats and get them to move where the humans want them. (There is at least one other company in the area that'll rent out goats for that purpose.)

some bizarre version of the first few minutes of Dawn of the Dead

For that to be true they would have to be spawned from Goat Simulator.

Yup, that's a sheepdog, you can see him near the end trying to do his job. Otherwise I think the herd would have been much more dispersed.

I saw the video earlier, but I didn't realize it was so near me, if a bit up in the hills.
