"The three movements of this deep and soulful piece have been virtually recorded by more than 500 enthusiastic participants in isolation from their homes and farms." via Alex Ross (New Yorker).
Satie would approve.

2nd movement has 80% more kittens.
But the cow is the star of the first movement.
Bless you for this.

My two-year-old is crazy for videos of cows right now; I wonder what she'll think of this.

I am weeping and wheezing with laughter to the extent that my husband took off his noise-canceling headphones and came over to see what was wrong with me. This is delightful. Thank you, ferret branca!

I really should have also linked to Bach's Cello Suite No. 1.

I didn't realize I needed to hear Gymnopédie No. 1 again at this point in my life (way, way past the point I had to learn it during piano lessons) as performed by cattle and sheep and cats. Apparently I did. Thanks.

This is brilliant. The Bach Cello Suit No 1 is also very nice. (The others are good too.) There's a lot of fun stuff on the guy's youtube channel, as well as some very nice straightfoward music. I've found a new musician to pay attention to. Thanks!
Someone who isn't me should spend the next two weeks creating a fully automated version of this. Unless this guy has already done so.

I would like a version where I can play at a keyboard and have it play cat sounds. (If I were a different kind of programmer I'd do it myself.)

A set of selected cat videos and some midi-linked software that plays them in real time to a keyboard is a fun idea. I'm not sure I'm willing to build it. . . but, I hope someone else does.
