Kara Brown is starting a new fiction book club. The first book of the month is Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston.

The first book club discussion was posted yesterday with Samantha Irby and Janet Mock.

This was hella entertaining (Samantha Irby is funny as usual, but also insightful) even though I read your 30 years ago.
I'm definitely going to re-read EWWG, and join this book club.

The book for August is a short story collection: What It Means When A Man Falls From the Sky by Lesley Nneka Arimah.

Here's the Atlantic review and the NPR review.
