I met Lisa when my son went over a waterfall.

At this point, before I tell you more, I need to tell you that he’s fine. Because when I tell this story, I can see people’s faces contort as they conjure up horrible outcomes. After all, falling off a waterfall seems like a thing you wouldn’t walk away from unscathed—like a thing you might not even survive. But it wasn’t a huge fall.

Hunh- I have an 8 year old and just booked a family vacation near North Conway in two weeks. Gonna put this place on the visit but don’t swim list.

I found it odd that the first group of people abandoned them so entirely. I've been outdoorsing for many years, involved in more than a few rescues, and I've never seen anything but total community step-up in those situations.

(potential accident and/or rescue involvement is one of the reasons we're mostly staying away from our usual outdoors haunts these days, though)

I wouldn't truly count Diana's Baths as an outdoorsy type place in the sense of being for people who are outdoorsy - so yeah, I could see it.
