Fall Guys but with Human Screams

Fall Guys is a cute battle-royale multiplayer gaming hit taking inspiration from shows like Takeshi's Castle and Total Wipeout. Who would have thought adding human screams would have made it so hilarious?

Hilarious! My 7 year old daughter and I just started playing this, and we’ve made it to the final round once. Didn’t even come close. It’s definitely one of those “I hate this f&@!ing game and I can’t stop playing it ” experiences.

My kids have been playing this quite a lot. There are a couple of other crazy blob-people games that are also a lot of fun - Human: Fall Flat and Gang Beasts.

I went and played this for my break since you had reminded me. Got three first round knockouts in a row then through to the final, then some bad luck on choice in a game. I've been playing a few weeks and in some games can see the improvement, others not so much. I suck at Slime Climb and am so bad at the Hex Be Gone game I might as well throw myself off the edge at the start. Fall Mountain offers the only chance of my winning a crown in the final, been about to jump for the win and someone grabbed it from the other side once.

Been an uptick in griefers in the last week I would say.

I've watched a few LP videos of it, it's pretty nice visual background noise when I'm on my exercycle. A couple streams have clearly shown other people (not the streamers) using cheats; teleporting or flying to the finish faster than it would be possible to run there, or rushing through trial-and-error puzzles consistently and infallibly. It'll be nice if the game company can put a clamp on those soon.

Yeah, I've noticed a couple of odd beans floating through the air during races in the last couple of days.

Watching speedrunners optimize their runs has been really fun and mindblowing.

I don’t understand these blob people games - are the controls supposed to feel like you’re playing underwater? Because I keep trying to give them a shot and can’t get past the awful awkward controls.

I think the awkwardness is a deliberate part of the experience, yeah - like three-legged races.

I wonder if Metafilter taglines are the internet's longest-running meme? Could this be where they started?

I've seen Random People Complaining that the PS4 version (on a non-Pro PS4) has a bunch of input lag and it's not supposed to be like that. Apparently the input lag is tied to framerate so PS4 Pro and PC players aren't getting it since they get 60 fps.

I play on a regular PS4 and I thought it was supposed to be like that. I have a difficult time with the jumps.

Thanks God. I thought I was having some sort of break between messages sent from my brain not reaching my fingers.

Incidentally, if you haven't had enough Fall Guys horror this month, here's some official canon.
