Tired of the Monster Mash? How about some Halloween Monster Blues... Here's a snappy-funny country-monster tune for the season ahead! By Ted Parks and the Busted Bones.

I hate to ruin something that's supposed to be fun, but two of the three guys are mentioned as having killed a lady and... I dunno, maybe women should be scared of giving the last two a chance under those circumstances?

There was a MeFi music challenge a few years ago for Halloween-themed songs and the results make a "killer" playlist:
https://www.metafilter.com/contribute/search.mefi?q=Halloween&tab=posts&site=music&page=1&sort=date

Some of my favorites:

Creature From The Deep - Beach Boys meets Scooby Doo - possibly the quintessential Halloween song. If you don't play any others, give this a listen.
The Restless Vampire - possibly the funniest one.
Giant ELectric Flying Insect - this take-no-prisoners rocker is also the best story, and there was heavy competition ("I Trust You To Kill Me")
Last Night A Werewolf Fell In Love With Me (Silver Lipstick Edition) - best glam rock.
On Halloween - best 80's dance groove. Would love to hear a tougher remix of this.
Creepy Doll - best cover.
Skeleton Dance and Scary Train are evocative instrumentals. I'm leaving out the Pepsi Blue link to my contribution, which was called "Ugly Monster" the story behind a hideous Halloween mask. And those are just some of the more notable ones (Want something silly? check out "Synthoween" Want something goth? Don't miss "Don't Fear The Reaper"). I know this post is buried by now, but if you're seeing it, take a stroll through all of the Halloween tracks on MeFi music and add to your playlist. Insert goofy scary music pun here.
