A breath of fresh air, or rather too much of a good thing?

Throwing in a Welsh town as the specific name seems like it's cheating a bit, to me. I'm all about giving names that display the variety of human effort in biological science (and would not be averse to moving beyond Latinized naming conventions). The article's abstract doesn't outline whence the name, though I hope this bacterium was isolated from Welsh soils.

I wonder if someone in New Zealand is looking for Myxococcus Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahuensis?

The first article does clarify that the bacterium came from Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll soil.

I expected a sentence starting with “A newly described bacterium sets a world record for” to end about 3000% more horrifyingly than this did, this welsh letter salad thing is actually a pretty good twist ending all things considered.
