Betty Dodson, womens' guide to self-pleasure, died on Halloween

See NYT obit for Betty's life details Some of us were so fortunate to discover her 'hands-on' wisdom decades ago. It is never too late to finally learn how to enjoy living in a human body. Though it might be for those already assimilated into the borg virtual reality. Thanks for being here, Betty, and thanks for sharing!

as a sex positive person, i looked at all kinds of resources earlier in life. dodson was one of the first i found. then, more later. i probably wouldn't even know sex positivity was a thing without her utterly open and uncompromising writing.

Oh, wow. Much like j_curiouser, she was one of the first sex positive people I found and meant so much to me.

As a continued celebration of her, there is still great work being done expanding understanding of female anatomy and pleasure! For example, that the external clitoris is "just the tip of the iceberg"
Some great previous posts that I learned about the clitoris from the blue.
HuffPo: Cliteracy and earlier.

I emailed her once because I couldn't self-satisfy. She replied, told me to keep trying. I wish I'd got back to her and told her about my successful marathon sessions. It required mains power - thank you Hitachi, but mostly thank you, Betty, for making me feel like it was possible.

For those of us who have only just now learned of Betty Dodson, any recommendations for where to start with her writing?
