Wow, this looks REALLY cool!

After just a few minutes of clicking around, I learned that Beethoven's Kreutzer Sonata was composed for classical violinist George Augustus Polgreen Bridgetower. I love learning new things.

I hope the site design isn't a hindrance for people; for me, a lot of titles wrap weirdly, and the links aren't highlighted, so I can't tell what's clickable - at first, I thought none of the entries were links, but I found some by hovering.

But design issues aside, this is clearly an amazing labor of love, and I am very glad it exists - and I am glad to know about it now.

Thank you for posting this, girlmightlive!

This is a dream. I have a few of the books I’m the blues section on my TBR already, but this is an incredible resource for digging into music history. I was so glad to see the country folder, as I have been glad to see more recognition of the contribution of Black musicians to country music from the beginning. So much good reading and listening here!

If new to you, please enjoy the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Most people don't even know that the banjo is an African instrument!

I've been wading through stuff in here bit by bit over the last few weeks, and it's absolutely fantastic.
