From artist Maeve Travis, a lovely fan-made graphic novel adaptation of a collaborative short story posted on tumblr, for the prompt "Temples are built for gods. Knowing this a farmer builds a small temple to see what kind of god turns up."

Direct links to Part Two and Part Three of the graphic novel.

That was lovely. Thank you for sharing. I have Johann Johannsson's IBM 1401 on, and Part 3 went very well with this.

Thank you, that was lovely. I do wonder; is a god a sort of spirit, more than a ghost/haunt, but lesser unless noticed/worshiped by many? It's a theory in one of the chapters of The Sandman, that gods can fade and wither away unless actively worshiped.

Reminds me of Pratchett, I think it's Small God's?

I read the tumblr story when it went around originally. This is a beautifully realized version. Lovely.

It was the custom on Tuesdays in the temple of Chu-bu for the priests to enter at evening and chant, "There is none but Chu-bu."

I have the original story bookmarked, and go back and read it occasionally when my heart is sad. This is wonderful, thank you so much for sharing it.
