Andre Antunes creates metal versions of popular music. His most recent work adapts the preaching of Kenneth Copeland and Paula White to the genre.

Adorable that his daughter has the same curls.

As for these two 'preachers', they are world champion grifters and they're going straight to hell when they die. I love how much they would hate this.

Is anyone else extremely curious about the lost guy wandering the stage behind Paula White?

There must be a German word for when you are extremely curious about something while simultaneously dreading the answer and hoping that nobody wastes their precious time discovering it.

I grew up around Kenneth Copeland (my mom was a very aggressive groupie/fan girl/also is a grifter) and trust me, he's a LOT scarier in person.

I read someplace (here?) that he is praying/interceding on her behalf as a sort of protective measure while she does her thing front and center.

He looks like the new room-mate who can't believe the shit he's seeing in this rental agreement.

Every stage act needs a Bez.

All credit to Lisa Guerrero and her interview of Copeland about his need for a private jet to avoid the demons in coach. See his eyes flash and then his calm and smile return.

Love this. My mother-in-law sends money to these maniacs. Guess who she vote for....

Once I got over my brain confusion over Aaron/Kenneth Copland and realized I was not going to hear a metal version of Appalachian Spring I enjoyed that--it seemed very appropriate to the style of Copeland's preaching, I liked how Antunes hit the same beats, etc.

Now if one of you super-talented Mefites wanted to do a metal version of Appalachian Spring, that would be awesome!

Man I just recently learned about Kenneth Copeland when he was saying some stupid shit about how even if you lost your job during the pandemic you need to keep tithing. The initial statement struck me as absurd as tithing generally considered on your income so if your income is 0, 0*.10 is still 0, so you're tithing at that level, but whatever. But yeah the more I read the more it became clear how fucking terrible he is. I'm really not sure what the appeal is, but I'm really happy I don't see it.

Both of his Kenneth Copeland goes METAL! videos (the other one is the HA HA HA remix) pair nicely with Vic Berger's Televangelist Kenneth Copeland seals God's BLOOD COVENANT with his congregation.

I got sucked into Andre Antunes' YouTube channel and this guy is awesome, especially his classical work. Tons of respect for him.

If anyone deserves to be satirized, it's Copeland, who can go straight to hell, and who gives anyone with a sincere and decent faith a bad name.

I love how well the music matches the yelling.

He sounds terrible, but there has been such a parade of human awfulness this year that he doesn't seem quite as bad to me as he would have a year ago. When I watched the linked video of Copeland, I thought, "He seems insufferable, but at least he admits that COVID-19 exists, and that a vaccine would help."

Andre Antunes hasn't done Appalachian Spring, so far as I can tell, but I bet he'd be up for it given that he's done Bizet, Vivaldi, Chopin, and Shostakovich.

Looks like this might turn into an album: Kenneth Copeland Returns! [Wind of God] [Heavy Metal Remix]

I swear, it's starting to sound like Copeland has the heavy metal in his mind as he's saying it. The backup singers haven't caught on yet, though.

I swear I saw something on Metafilter about movie made with Jack Chick in which the producer or director or somebody hired some heavy metal album cover artists to do the designs. He was worried that Chick wouldn't like it if he found out who the artists were, but Chick was super-enthusiastic because all the hell-and-demons heavy metal imagery was exactly what he was looking for.

I wonder if Kenneth Copeland has some Dimebag Darrell on a secret mixtape that he uses to amp himself up for his sermons...
