Am I the only one who cringes at this? Maybe I'm too empathetic for 2020/1, but I hate it when children scream on the playground - I keep thinking someone is dying.

When it comes to kids, the trick is discriminating "play" screaming from "something is wrong" screaming; it's a skill, finely honed by lots of practice. I learned it as a summer camp counselor but most people learn through becoming a parent.

(My cynical asshole takeaways, on hearing the results, are that acting is harder than it looks and cell phone audio is really bad at capturing screams. But, the concept is a whole lot of fun.)

I was not expecting to like this, but after listening to several of the recent screams, it was funnier and sillier than I expected. I too am upset by screams for the most part but this was surprisingly playful overal.

I don't think I want to call and add my own but I also get the desire to do so.
