A cute game about an awful year.

This is awesome. I found myself actively missing some of the horrors they left out (what, no Tiger King?)

This is adorable.

I keep wondering when some wag will compose a song like "We Didn't Start The Fire" for this wretched, overwhelming year. This game begins to scratch the same itch.

Curious to gloss over the George Floyd protests like that. I mean, there's no good way to make that into a level in a whimsical platformer. And you can't really omit it from a game about the trials of 2020, either. I guess I can't think of a less-bad way that the game designer could've acknowledged it, given the rest of the game.

Definitely peaks at the "quarantine" section.

Took a while for me to realize the "mask" provided an additional health point.

This was delightful. Loved the books disappearing when the toilet paper ran out...

Personally, I really liked the moment of silence when running past the George Floyd sign.

This is good! I would have liked an "entire West Coast on fire" section; that day of orange/red skies was a really eerie experience.

Feels like it may be over-optimistic for 2021.

Well, I mean, this one is pretty good, but it went up in December so it's already dated...

That was charming, especially given the subject matter.

That was so fun! The toilet paper countdown during quarantine was a nice touch.

Did anyone else let out a little "fuck yes" when Biden passed Trump well before the finish line?

I tried to catch up. I thought the game wanted us to strike one of them repeatedly.

But that would be wrong.

This was, indeed, extremely cute. The length seemed about right and the graphics and controls made me very nostalgic. Thanks for posting!

I'm in California, and when I hit the Australia fires I had a visceral moment, so I'm unsure whether I'd donate to a kickstarter to make a complete version of the game, or send him a few bucks to thank him for helping me to recast some of the trauma into absolutely charming silliness.

Yeah, out-loud "fuck yes" at Biden, but also laughter at the 5G segment.

Thank you, this is what I didn't know I needed this afternoon.

Yeah, I was disappointed I didn't get to punch someone after the election.

I'm so bad at video games, I think I personally died from the Rona approximately 400,000 times.

I’m glad vaccinations don’t actually work like that. If we needed one shot per coronavirus particle our manufacturing problem would be orders of magnitude worse than it already is.

When "2019" appeared on the screen at the beginning, did anyone else have a long pause or a visceral shudder before you could bring yourself to go into 2020 again? Crappy year, interesting game - thank you for sharing it!

Around a year ago, instead of the normal end-of-year email, my partner and I sent our friends a little Twine game. I was thinking of doing one for 2020 that just had the same text about staying home, ordering online, and attending zoom meetings for around 240 days, with no branching options at all and no visible sign of progress, but this is a much better idea.

Neat. Didn’t notice it on first play through, but you can destroy the 5G tower if you stand underneath it and jump up. Laughed at that.

That and I only noticed the lone bat flying past on the second go round.

I'm dumb and I can't get past Australia. I can't stop my character from just hopping straight into the second fire. Am I missing something?
