I greatly amused myself by listening to Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" while watching this video on repeat so I recommend that.
Yes, it's an obvious choice but it's still a good one.

There is a soft spot in my heart for turtles and tortoises for some reason. Here's a post from r/TurtleFacts about how turtles and tortoises can feel their shells.

No, my boyfriend and I did not spend the past couple of hours trying to come up with other songs. I imagine we'll have more tomorrow.

My red eared slider does this. If you stop giving her scritches before she's satisfied, she will follow you around the house trying to get more. That's how I discovered that turtles are pretty much just cats with shells.

It can be trying to shed a scute (top layer of shell that comes off when a new larger layer grows underneath it). My turtle will rub against things to loosen hers. My theory is that it itches. I belong to a turtle group and bottle brushes with suction cups are the hot new tank accessory.
