Add some goat to your meeting

This is very good. Goat With A Note involves sharing a message that the goats will then eat on camera! Zero waste, how forward thinking of them.

This Zoom animal thing has been going on for months and months now from various sources. There are zoos and aquariums also doing similar things. I think it's great. The world doesn't have enough whimsy, and unexpected animals at professional meetings are definitely whimsical.

A panto horse in a Zoom meeting is not whimsical. Do not do that.

I'm here live. I'm not a goat.

OMG, so you schedule your meeting for an hour but you tell the team they should be able to meet their goal by 45 minutes and then at the 45 minute mark the goat appears, and you get all fake mad because they were supposed to meet their GOAL not their GOAT. And then 15 minutes of useless stuff because everything useful for the day has already happened.

Do that once, and you're legend. Do that twice, and you're overbooked.

Thanks, ShooBoo, I love this post and I love this farm. You can stay there, and there's a documentary about the place. From the home page:

All of our livestock are farmed in line with the RSPCA "5 freedoms" philosophy and have access to large outdoor spaces for grazing and foraging during fair weather including species rich mowing meadows. They also have indoor weatherproof accommodation for poor weather.

Climate change is something we are very concerned about. We have a great sense of urgency to do all we can to prevent our contribution towards emissions and help our visitors do the same. This includes working towards changing our current farming practices in order to grow produce with a lower carbon footprint. We are also working hard to raise money to invest in renewable power technologies so we can produce and store energy on site.

Same page:
FOOD: Neary's shop (a local shop for local people - but Mrs Neary is nice and will let you in if you are polite) is by the bus stop and has everything you could want if you're after buying supplies once you're here so you don't have to carry loads of food/ drink while travelling. DON'T YOU DARE buy eggs there though, you buy them from us or our hens will be very offended!

I wanna visit so much.

Just shared in a community where there's at least one alpaca farmer.

Easy income streams for all of the independent family farms now, please and thank you!

We had an owl bomb for one of our meetings—it was planned and everyone showed up early because we were so excited to meet the owl. (The owl’s name was Apollo and it was such a handsome and good owl.)

We have had a goat meeting, and it was a strong candidate for our GOAT meeting.

Can I just say that "Zoom Alpaca" is a right-on name for a superhero.

However, one should probably fear an alpaca that has the zoomies.

I made a similar offer in our work slack. My family's goats & chickens have made several appearances via zoom at book club meetings & Girl Scout troop gatherings, in exchange for donations to the local food shelf.

Now I'm thinking we really need to up our marketing game. £50,000 would buy a lot of hay.

Was it a few days ago? Was it a superb owl?

I work with the DNC Tech Team. We’ve been remote first since 2017, but always tried to have semi annual meetups/off sites in different cities. This past year, the usual meetup had to go online, and one of the organizers arranged for a donkey to guest star on our Zoom. (Because: Democrats). His name is Mambo and he is a delightful keynote.
