oh my yes.

I am curious about the significance (if any) of the Bandido/BICHOTA split, as also what it signifies for centralized state control that Spain, China, and Turkey can't agree internally on the same song (today, anyway)

As someone who has built more than one music analytics product, I would treat any location based analytics (especially anything publicly accessible) as more of a "aww, neat" type thing, rather than something from which one could distill grand political truths.

Checking for the usual suspects I've had to deal with in the past, I can see that Monterey Park, CA (pop 68k, just east of Los Angeles) has a disproportionally large name, compared to the actually large cities near by. That's because one of the cellphone providers (pretty sure it's AT&T) connects to the regular internet there for its mobile traffic. Los Angeles gets the bubble thing on this map with the play count, but I would bet that the actual data has significant traffic from the tiny city nearby.

Website slightly frustrating... Only wants to play a song or two before it quits and have to refresh. Still trying to find out if "driver's license" is a song or some weird error in this service.
