I've been very much meaning to play through this, some time. Fantastic to see a full account of it.

I didn't notice this being posted in the previous TYOV thread, so someone might also like this delightful video review (12:38) of the game by Tom Brewster of Shut Up & Sit Down as an introduction to what it's about.

I just lost the game

I absolutely love the mechanics of this game, and any sort of journaling activity is just so happy for me. BUT, so far I haven't been able to pull the trigger on buying this, partly from the cost (although I admit it is a gorgeous looking book) but mostly from my underlying unease with all vampire material-- the feeling that stripped of its supernatural trappings underneath it all boils down to sexual assault. I just can't engage with it much anymore after that realization. And I would really like to, because journaling is neat, the system supports it in a fantastic way. Hmm, maybe if I did play the game I would lean into that discomfort and write about becoming a vampire who felt the same way. Still probably won't do it. Sorry if this is a bit of a derail, but I really do admire the game from afar.
