What extraordinary, wonderful young people these are.

It's amazing to imagine being a young teen bringing a lawsuit to overturn a state education policy that's twice as old as you are (Eli Bundy, who succeeded in getting South Carolina's "No Promo" policy overturned). (Kudos also to the various adults who helped these young people use the legal system as minors, to make the world a better place for everybody.)

Homoglobin is a great name (the nonprofit Austin Houck founded to advance queer equality in healthcare and education).

It's wonderful to read the inspirations they cite, too, from James Baldwin and Audre Lorde to Harvey Milk and Marsha P. Johnson to Freddie Mercury to state senators, and a couple of them just say "too many to name":
Ashton says “it is nearly impossible” to name just a single LGBTQ person who has inspired him the most. “There is not one LGBTQ+ person who I have met in the past couple of years that has failed to influence, inspire, and motivate me to continue doing the work that I do"
I could happily spend a couple of days clicking through to learn more about all the things these amazing young people are doing.

They are all so inspiring.

Thank you for posting this, hippybear!

I think this is good. Thanks!

I'm also glad nothing I said when I was sixteen ever made it beyond the local newspaper. Not 'cause it was wrong. Mostly.
