“It’s gonna be a bitchin’ year! 66! A bitchin’ year!”

To celebrate his 65th Birthday, actor Tom Hanks took a 60-minute turn on the Internet wheels of steel at lovely little oldies/classic rock web radio station Boss Radio 66 (“That Ichiban Sound!”).
Ooh, this looks wonderful! Going to listen to it at a more reasonable hour later today, so I don’t disturb the sleeping bodies in this house.

Keith Talent: “The fifties play an oversized role in our collective consciousness.”I tend to agree, but in fairness most of Hanks' selections are Sixties records.
I enjoyed discovering “Black Sand Beach” by Yuzo Kayama and The Launchers, which Hanks says he'd use as walk-up music if he were a baseball player. All in all, an enjoyable way to spend a rainy Saturday morning. Thanks for posting.

Fun, but this line in the show's description, "DJ Tom Hanks stops by Boss Radio 66 for his radio debut! " is a little inaccurate - back in January 2017 Hanks filled in as guest host on NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me".

...inaccurate...
I would quibble that that was Tom Hanks, while this is is DJ Tom Hanks.
