Russ Kick, author, anthologist, and "investigative archivist", has died. Perhaps best-known for taking on the US government's suppression of photos of flag-draped coffins, Kick had a reputation for using the FOIA process to great effect. He was also the author of several books of subversive knowledge, editor of The Graphic Canon anthologies, and operated AltGov2.org and The Memory Hole, in addition to his personal website. More recently, he was active on Twitter as @russkick, @thememoryhole2, @thegraphiccanon, and @kicklit.
Kick's obituary from the New York Times is also readable via the Wayback Machine.
He died last month in Tucson, Arizona, at age 52.

RIP :( Russ invited me to write for an anthology years and years ago, he was really nice and I wish I had kept in touch with him.

I have Book of Lies, Everything You Know Is Wrong and Disinformation the Interviews, though it only seems like Everything You Know is Wrong was edited by Kick.
RIP.

Somehow I'd managed to remain completely unaware of the three Graphic Canon volumes. Putting that right now.
