A plus-sized Jewish lady redneck died in El Paso on Saturday

Renay was preceded in death by her ex-boyfriend, Larry King. A more disrespectful, trash-reading, talking and watching woman in NC, FL or TX was not to be found…. Please think of the brightly-frocked, frivolous, funny and smart Jewish redhead who is about to grift you, tell you a filthy joke, and for Larry King's sake: LAUGH.

Have I... heard an interview with her sometime? Maybe on public radio? This all feels weirdly familiar to me.

Anyway, she seems to have been loved by many, and my heart is with them in their time of grief (and loathing :P).

That was a great obituary. She sounds like a gem! I could totally imagine what she was like in life by reading this and it was clearly written with love.

Reminds me of this obituary posted here earlier this year:
Marilyn loved all children who weren’t her own and loved her own children relative to how clean-shaven they were. She excelled at giving the finger, taking no sh!t and laughing at jokes, preferably in the shade of blue. She did not excel at suffering fools, hiding her disdain, and putting her car in reverse.

This is pretty much a perfect example of “live such a life that someone loves you enough to write this kind of obituary for you,” warts and all, but utterly, visibly, dripping with love.

Sounds like the sort of person who was deeply loved and somewhat hated, usually by the same people and often at the same time.

Loved this. And loved thinking she would have loved it herself.

That was a thing of beauty, and so was Rosie, I'm certain!

Because she was my mother, the death of zaftig good-time gal Renay Corren at the impossible old age of 84 is newsworthy to me, and I treat it with the same respect and reverence she had for, well, nothing.

Much love to everyone who's (for different understandings of) mourning her loss.
