A bad earthquake at once destroys the oldest associations

Karawan - your pixelated, hex based world is disintegrating, hexes falling away, chunks of land drifting off into the void. Recruit villagers and mages and forage for resources but keep moving forwards.

A game made for Ludum Dare 49. Playable in the browser but Windows and Linux downloads are available.

haven't visited the link but the description is ace, similar to ideas I've been toying with for ages, since playing Populous

Did one quick play and it's nice! The disintegration is an interesting mechanic. I don't love that at least one of the upgrades is just a UI convenience, paying to have your units auto-collect resources to save you the trouble of clicking on them.

This is super neat. Nicely polished feel, it'll take me a bit to figure out the solution to the stage.

If anyone manages to finish the "desert" stage without resorting to cannibalism, let me know. I just *barely* made it across the one time I managed to complete it, and I ended up with two fewer farmers behind me than I started with...

Lovely. Seems to work well on iOS but excited for a desktop experience.

Didn't take me long to get the lead element doubled up on the woodcutters and unable to move.

I don't think it's possible without cannibalism (MetaFilter: ...) . If you try to get a magus, you won't have enough farmers, and you'll run out of food well before you cross the desert.
