Same here. I remember going to the jellyfish exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium when it opened in the 90s and it was magical! Deep sea creatures are the best.

Imagine how creepy and weird we must appear to them...
That barreleye fish is so bizarre, especially when you realize if you go back a few hundred million years, we've got a common ancestor. Sometimes my little mammalian brain stumbles over the profundity of evolution.

I am a huge fan of MBARI/MBA. The Monterey Bay Aquarium will be launching a new exhibit devoted to these deep sea creatures on April 9th, and I could not be more excited.

The Aquarium also has a lovely collection of live web cams of jellies, otters and more. Waste all your time here, chill, relax, enjoy :)
