He's so cute. In the spirit of the web, I'm asking the people of the web to help me name my new cat. Wondering also if there have been other pet-naming events out there?

I think she looks like a Weetabix, personally.

Since you've brought the event to this forum, you must now name the cat: MetaFeline.

try a human name. the added personality is such a superbonus.

my cat's name is doug. his mother was called eileen, and he has a brother named steve. they all seem to like it.

Hope you have a sense of humor....

"Number 37"

("Sweet & Sour Chicken" on the Chinese take out menu)
Me & the guys picked that for some girl's cat once. She didn't use it...and I thought it was so cool; but then again, I'm a "dog" person... :0)

I wanted to name one of my cats Cee-Bee-El (C.B.L.), for Carbon-Based-Lifeform, but that proved to be too geeky. So we named him Mozilla. Which is so less geeky... :)

I think you should call him Dammit. As in: "Dammit! Did you get into the cabinets over the fridge again?"

"Patchwork" cuz he's got a funky face. Although "MetaFeline" sounds cool too.

Thanks everybody! Although I'm not sure the two doglovers suggestions would stand a chance, they are pretty funny. :-)On to my other question which was: Does anyone know if there have been other pet-naming events out there?

Karawynn had a kitten-naming contest not too long ago... But I think she ran it out of her journal, which is password protected... sorry I can't provide a more direct link.
