YouTube: Top Dawg-signed artist Doechii goes "Crazy" in this extremely NSFW (tw: guns, murder, nudes) music video. Watch at your peril.

I like that these naked ladies are not, in the two seconds I watched, being particularly sexy. They are just being naked.

It's like if Videodrome was a funky music channel and not just straight S & M.

They're not even being particularly naked, except in the Barbie sense. Also you forgot to mention the albino crocodile and the robot.

I love the pops of leather clothing that all feel like armor and contrast the nudity so well, skin covering skin but they’re still nude. And how their sculptural hair also feels like armor or weapons while their bodies are so fluid and filled with energy.

Looks interesting. Sounds like a car alarm.

Cool video, but I had to tap out after hearing that music. Unpleasant.

Faze, not phase. (sorry, pedantic pet peeve)

Love the music and the almost reinterpreted "this is America" setting with the reflecting-back-on-the-viewer toying with nudity and really powerful dance where bodies move like bodies. Also I enjoy the screamy way more than I guess the average person.

Five stars would be unsettled by this again.

I can’t tell from your comment if you meant that negatively or factually but, watching the video, I think that’s part of the point.

Parts of it reminds me sort of the band Ministry.

I meant in the sense that it sounded like somebody's softball had bounced off a BMW and now everybody on the block has to just grit their teeth and wait for the BLERKBLERKBLERK to stop. I did think the video was worth watching, there were some cool visuals... but the music was a hard nope for me.

Does feel a little bit like the artsy version of that City Morgue video where they smoke PCP and shoot the cameraman at the end.

I liked this way more than I wanted to. Although it drives me crazy that the editor missed the alignment of the "HA!" (or "Huh!") at 1:54. All the others are so good that when that one happened it threw me off a little.

[I]t’s perfectly proper to exhibit people slugging and slaying each other, but oh dear no, not people loving each other, except in a rather restrained way. One can only draw the conclusion that the assumption underlying this is that expressions of physical love are far more dangerous than expressions of physical hatred.

And it seems to me that a culture that has that sort of assumption is basically crazy and devoted – unintentionally indeed – but nevertheless in-fact devoted not to survival, but to the actual destruction of life.

Now I know what it feels like to be a frustrated old, angry that the world is incomprehensibly modern. Was that a music video from a dystopian scifi movie? No, it is a contemporary music video from today, old man. This place is not for you.

I like it. I'm not the biggest fan of shouty rap, but that's my own prejudice developed over decades, like parents who don't like guitars with distortion. It's also new to me for a US rapper to use grime style drums, so another tip of the champagne flute to Doechii. Will check out more.

Honestly I think I liked the track itself even more than the vid - aggro hiphop excellence on the vibe of things like ho99o9, clipping. (NSFW), Backxwash, Death Grips and Dälek.

Female rappers don't get represented enough in this vein of the genre, altho things like MIA's 'Meds & Feds' definitely hew pretty close to the aggro-tech crossover tone.

FatherDagon, don't forget the Bug with Warrior Queen. She's more laid back with a ragga style though I think.

Or reaching far back, Lady Sovereign? Crazy definitely has that grime style as rhizome notes.

Somewhat recently, in terms violent female rap (can’t speak to grime beats), there’s “Smack A Bitch” by Rico Nasty. Not a lot of lyrics, but a lot of mood.

The Bug I actually first got into through Techno Animal, the Justin Broadrick side project from back in Godflesh heyday. Brotherhood of the Bomb still crushes end to end - Piranha feat. Toastie Taylor is an utter slayer of a cut.
