If you're one of the 10% who forgets to put on pants for zoom meetings, Everything Is Hacked has you covered. Add pants or blur out everything from the waist down for extra safety on Zoom calls . Video explanation.

bit disappointed this doesn't have a build step that uses pants

That only works if it is attached below the waist and not the arm?

To be safe be sure to add a trousers layer, too.

A friend was being interviewed over Zoom the other day for a tech job. The interviewer stood up to deal with an interruption, revealing he was wearing no pants, only underwear. Awkwardness ensued. Clearly there is a need for this technology.

Can't come fast enough for Canadian Parliamentarians. Maybe they can work on filters for some other common issues too, including embarrassing noises and such.

This is a classic technological solution a social problem. What we should be doing is normalizing pantslessness as a society. Too many of you are in the pocket of Big Pants. Some of you are in the pocket of Big Pants and your pants don't even have pockets!

Workers from home, unite! You have nothing to lose but your pants.

During the pandemic, all but one of my jobs dwindled away to nothing, and the one that endured has always been from home, in front of a computer. Thus, most days from morn to night I am wearing more or less the same thing: T-shirt and soft cotton shorts.

One day a few months ago I was putting on outdoor clothing (going to the pharmacy or something). The daughter assessed me critically: “Why are you wearing pants?”

It's well known that the first step towards fully automated luxury gay space communism is the acceptance of athleisure wear as appropriate workplace dress.

I think this filter is trying to keep us from realizing our potential.

After several days of having to be physically in the office because of training that couldn't possibly be done over zoom (except if you work at one of the dozen or so remote sites in which case the training was over zoom) I'm just happy to be back home where I don't have to worry that no one's wearing any masks.

Wear whatever you want so long as it's comfortable.

That's awkward - I did some job searching during the pandemic and all my interviews were over Zoom. My wife mocked me one morning for putting on slacks in addition to jacket & tie; I told her I did not want to have to stand up in the middle of the interview for any reason and be revealed to be wearing sweat pants. The thought of doing an interview without pants of any kind is disturbing to me...but I guess it indicates a work culture that is embracing a pantless society, so maybe I'm the one that is wrong.

I now own several pairs of pants that are even more comfortable than going bare-arsed, and can thoroughly recommend the same solution to anybody who has stared into the abyss of this utterly pants software option's uncanny valley and seen anything in any way desirable.

Oh my, flabdablet. Those pants need to be required work place apparel.

I always wore jeans to the office but since working from home now it's stretchy pajama pants every day. I haven't put jeans on in about two years now. And I don't wear normal shoes unless I'm driving someplace. Flip flops or slippers only. My toenails have never looked healthier.

With inspiration from mhoye and Mr Excellent:

🎵
For lacking pants' protection it is cold our blood would run;
If betraying social mores surely we would come undone;
So we fear to stand up boldly when we ain't be wearin' none;
But the undies make us strong.

Underpants forever,
Underpants forever,
Underpants forever,
For our knickers make us strong!

I feel it is time for men to wear dresses. For the last 100 years, women have been wearing pants, as if that was a comfortable and liberating solution, when everyone who has tried both knows the best is a "dress" though obviously cultures where men don't wear pants have other names for it. (The exceptions are for riding horses, bicycles or motorcycles. None of which ever happen to me at work).
That said, I shower and put on clean clothes for zoom, because I feel more professional when I am "dressed" than if I just turn on the computer in my pajamas.
Also men in dresses are sexy.

As one who would regularly spend as much awake time as I could possibly get away with wrapped in a huge bath sheet sarong-style, I can see the appeal. But honestly, the pants I linked above are more comfortable still.

Look at the Star Trek uniforms (after Enterprise, anyway) — basically just pajamas.

I often joke that I'm just waiting for tenure to do that. Though, I also hate talking to people and it seems pretty likely to lead to a lot of complicated conversations. Having to explain to every casual acquaintance that it's not actually a change in gender identity, just comfortable, seems likely to get tiresome. (Clearly people who actually are changing genders have an even more frustrating task.) But, I work in a lab a lot anyway where dresses are forbidden for everyone, so it isn't likely to actually work well anyway.

I do miss attending meetings with harem pants and no shoes. That part of the pandemic was rather nice.

Damnit. Just saw this in recent activity and realized "changing genders" isn't actually the phrase I should have used for most of the people I'm talking about. Language is hard sometimes, at least with precision when talking to strangers.
