This just popped up on my tiktok for you page the other day, and I have to say: as the parent of two children under five, I Love it.

If you're only familiar with the TikTok version, the YouTube version, which made the rounds in 2020, is about twice as long!

This is by Psychostick, and was a 2021 Logan Award finalist for Outstanding Comedy Music Video.

When I did comedy, I had a short bit where I was a hard rocker singing, "I can count to four! I can count to four! One, two, three . . . line?"

This somehow feels like peak mid 00s Internet, but I loved it. Definitely will be passing it along to friends with kids.

Is this a satire about Sesame Street or about the ubiquitous 4/4 meter in rock/metal or both? Meanwhile, my brain is now yelling I CAN ONLY COUNT TO FOUR!! over and over. Thank you.

For anybody who doesn't know the connection: this, besides just being funny as hell out of context, is explicitly and lovingly parodying Drowning Pool's "Bodies", aka Let The Bodies Hit The Floor, aka the song where the guy keeps whispering and yelling about letting the bodies hit the floor. Which makes it an order of magnitude more funny and perfect.

Which makes a lot more sense to those who stupidly assumed (poss just me) it was referencing the 1975 Paul Newman/Joanne Woodward movie (which would be an extraordinarily hard movie to do with puppets).

I was worried you-know-who wasn’t going to show up

Another great moment in Drowning Pool-inspired tomfoolery: Niel Cicierega's Floor Corn

Likewise! It just wouldn't have been the same without them.

I made a karaoke track out of it Sunday for my shows. I'm dying for someone to sing it.

I also like this reaction to 'Bodies'.

Count von Count pulling an Ozzy Osbourne was the metal/Sesame Street fan service I didn’t know I needed.
