I focused on Mesopotamia and Sumer in college and one of my professors did restoration work for the Getty. This is a well done, albeit brief, online display and introduction...

This is lovely and makes me wish I were in a cool, quiet museum on a slow weekday, learning about people who lived far away and long ago by standing in the presence of things they made with their hands.

Do you know what technology was used to create the website?

I took a look at the source code of the page. There's a bunch of javascript (React.js & GSAP) and CSS (lots of transform & translate3D).

Here's a similar website about the Pyramids of Meroë from the GSAP showcase page.
