No, that's Apple with their whitewashing of John Lasseter.

This reminds me of a Playstation game from the 00s that I can't quite remember.

I always think of Bruce Campbell whenever a movie is promoted by mentioning the OTHER movies made by the responsible parties.

No disrespect toward Lost Ollie. I'm gonna watch it.

Well, something struck me about it as pretty charming - I think the slo mo flying through the air bit - so I posted it. Apparently this feeling was not shared. Fair enough.

This looks sweet and don't get me wrong I am sure I will watch it and just bawl... But how is it not a Toy Story reboot?

I have several thoughts.

1. If I were supreme ruler of the world I would make it illegal to use any piece of pop music that ever made it onto the Billboard Top 100 in a movie trailer, cover or not.

2. Until watching this trailer I had assumed this movie was about an anthropomorphic skateboard.

3. I'm sure a lot of people will love this movie. I can think of several friends of the top of my head that will be all about this. I can certainly understand the Toy Story comparisons, but it isn't as if anthropomorphized toys as coming-of-age vehicles are uncommon. Maybe every generation deserves its own version of that trope.

As long as it doesn't go full Velveteen rabbit, I'm in for a good mawkish sniffle.

The trailer lost me at a stuffed toy telling its child, "Don't ever forget me." I know that I would weep throughout this film. Which is also why I haven't watched the recent Toy Storys.

Glinn, don't let the cynics get you down. This looks awesome and I will watch it - thanks for sharing!

On a separate note, for me, that song is indelibly associated with an entirely different movie.

This looks like it will destroy me in the most beautiful way. I can't wait!

I dunno, Arcade Fire's "Wake Up" was perfect for Where The Wild Things Are.
