Contaminated Peat Bog Mud Product MLM May Be Back From Dead (still MLM)

(TINA.ORG) BlackOxygen Organics, MLM company, died when its products were banned by FDA and HealthCanada in 2021 for containing elevated amount of arsenic and lead. However, in 2022, the same products are apparently being brought back by a different MLM company under a different name...

BlackOxygen Organics, a MLM, touted its products of fulvic acid as derived from natural Canadian peat bog, and can be used as food supplement or applied as facemask. During mid 2021, some BOO peddlers even claimed that consuming BOO products provided relief from COVID.

Chemically, fulvic acid is formed from organic matter decay (i.e. bodies and plants decomposing) and there is no compelling scientific evidence they have any benefits as a food supplement, merely some suggestions of benefits in Alzheimer's.

BOO crashed hard in late 2021 when FDA warned the public about BlackOxygen Organics because its powder and tablets contained elevated levels of lead and arsenic. The MLM company immediately shut down, as it also faced a class-action lawsuit from some former affiliates. HealthCanada has a similar recall.

However, it seems BOO won't stay dead. TINA.org reported that the entire BOO affiliate list was apparently sold to another MLM company, Youngevity, in early 2022, and all BOO affiliates are converted to Yougevity affiliates. And now, in September 2022, Youngevity is bringing back the same products but under a new name, "Midnight Minerals", and the former BOO affiliates, now Youngevity affiliates, are telling everybody that it's "the same thing".

So, we made arsenic a childhood food now... we said, y'know, is your baby really too loud? Yeah, the moms'll love it.

If only we had an organization to set rules and limits on things used as food or as drugs. Some sort of… food and drug administration … that could stop people from making unfounded claims?

It's the 2020's. I can't be surprised at anything like this any more. Sure, let's eat arsenic and peat bog again. WHATEVER.

In any case the only legitimate use of peat is to make heavily peated whisky.

I wish I was still a copy editor, because I would love to try and sneak 'Peat and Re-Peat' through.

I'm pretty sure we're supposed to be tolerant of other people's risk tolerance. That includes letting people buy & sell poison under false pretenses.
