This isn't a question about Pizzamas but is about word games

In todays video the Vlog brothers play a word game together. I would love to learn other word games played between two people.

The rules of the game they played are simple:
-count to 3 and you both say a random word at the same time
-then count off to say another word that's an intersection of the two words
-repeat until you say the same word

My question is what are some other simple word games?
some rules:
- Does not require anything digital, or anything I would have to buy
- Can be played between two people

I'm a big fan of these guys' podcast, Dear Hank and John. Never read any of hank greens books tho.

IMO this is pretty fun as an FPP. I've been digging through 18th and 19th C. books of wordplay and literary descriptions of parlor games in French all afternoon, and I'm struggling to think of a game that would be good with two. You could certainly play games down at the bottom of this page, like "The History" or "Adjectives," with two. They're basically "Exquisite Corpse" and extemporized "Mad Libs" though, so maybe a bit obvious in this century.

I support the occasional Green on the Blue! And I like this game.

There's a game that we play in the car that is very straightforward. It can be played with just 2 but it's more fun with a bunch of people. Here's the rules:

- Word Person thinks of a four letter word and says what it begins with
("I have a word that starts with B")
- Guessers give the definition of the word they are thinking of
("is it what you might do when you have food poisoning?")
- Word Person has to figure out what the guess is based on the definition
("no, it's not barf")
- Repeat x as many times as it takes for either the Guesser to get the word or for the Word Person to not be able to figure out the guess
("is it something you kick in soccer")
("no it's not a ball")
("is it a nickname for Shakespeare")
("no it's not the Bard")
("is it a second-rate search engine")
("no it's not Bing")
("is it the outer part of a tree")
("yes! it's bark")

If the Guesser gives a clue that could be more than one word, and the Word Person gives a credible answer, then that counts regardless of whether its the clue the Guesser was thinking of. E.g. if the word starts with "C" and the clue is "is it another word for money" a correct answer would be "coin," or "cash," or even "clam". So there's some strategy there.

Good one--to give this a name, it is basically Crambo.

PS If you haven't read - or better yet, listened to the audiobook of - Hank Green's The Anthropocene Reviewed, it's fantastic. Really thoughtful, and fun, and affecting, and wide-ranging essays. My favorite book from last year by a good bit.
