Ah, how I wish them ... self-enlightenment and the concomitant self-loathing followed by the strength to not cower from their new-found understanding of exactly how terrible they are but to use their ridiculously, inhumanely powerful positions to work to revert all the damage their, clearly, pathological father was wrought.

And! That from now until the end of their days they never get the breakfast they want. Like, that their coffee every morning if too cold and sour, or sweet or just... not good.

I'm sure their coffee often contains a little saliva.

These are the people I would be least surprised to discover had been actual demons of hell in human form.

While I would look on with considerable schadenfreude at the prospect of all their below-the-belt orifices being partially (not totally, as that woud be cruel) superglued shut, I feel compelled to point out that the Murdochs are but an opportunistic symptom.

The real problem is the 30% of the population who seem hard-wired to think like he does and who find consuming his media satisfying. People who think that All In The Family is a secret program by Norman Lear to transform all right-thinking people into liberal pod-creatures and One Day At A Time is how he plans to do it.

I say nuke 'em from orbit with a big ol' Douglas Adams-brand empathy bazooka. It's the only way to be sure.

A further thought... In an alternate universe somewhere, Roger Ailes is still alive, and having (politically) dispatched the Murdochs and his legion of accusers, is now in unrestrained control of Fox and News Corp.

Now that's something that'll close one's sphincter reeeal good.

Is there any realistic possibility that everyone involved will squander their power and resources fighting each other?

Or is this just a sign that the Murdoch star is fading and the new generation of right wing tictok grifters are rising to take its place?

If I have to side with someone, I would go with the sibling who released Mos Def and Company Flow records rather than the one who is thought to be more conservative than Rupert.

Yeah, James is the person to root for in this, but the larger issue is that this sort of inherited wealth shouldn't exist at all and this whole group of people are examples of why there's the saying "eat the rich". I kept thinking about how obscene this all is while reading the article.
