Wow, Denise Gough is really, really not like Dedra.

Fiona Shaw (paraphrased); "Ferrix is space-Detroit"

Bam. She gets it.

Genevieve O’Reilly’s explanation of how it was to work on such incredibly well-made sets was remarkable, and the first time I can remember an actor talk about the impact of good set design on their own performance. “You get to walk in and breathe”. I’m not an actor, but I understood perfectly what she meant.

I thought it was interesting that Tony Gilroy cast so many Irish actresses (he even, as Denise Gough points out, gave one of them an Irish name). The very not-Irish Adria Arjona seems to turn up in everything these days (I always go "Who is that?" and look her up and go "Again?" You'd have thought at this point I'd recognise her, but I'm obviously not very good at that).

Ferrix -> ferrous -> iron -> "Detroit Iron" -> mind blown

As a person who is utterly in love with Andor (IMO it's the best thing to come out of the entire franchise, yes including Empire Strikes Back), I'm delighted that the people who did it seemed to love it as much as I did.

It's also convincing me that Diego Luna didn't need to act when he did Cassian since he did the whole Cassian calming someone down thing on Adria Arjona. My sister says that if he was trying to calm her down she'd just die, which is probably true given how often Cassian kills the people he calms down...

hell yes hell yes hell yes

I love Andor the most of any show since Black Sails and I'm so excited to watch this.

Oh, that was really interesting.

They talk a fair bit about the extraordinary sets — they're Exhibit A, I think, for demonstrating how every part of this production is top-notch and, especially, works together as an organic whole.

These actors seem truly enthralled and fortunate to be in this show. They all give outstanding performances.

I don't think anyone has ever looked as good in a television show as Genevieve O'Reilly looked in Andor. Her costuming was spellbinding.
