What Are People Wearing in Paris: a YouTube series

A series of YouTube videos where regular people are interviewed about their fashion choices. Just regular Parisians & Parisiennes, talking about what they're wearing and why. On the sidewalk. Mostly thrifted. Totally unscripted and awesome.

They're subtitled in English, in case you need to practice your French listening skills.

I found the playlist linked on a discussion board thread at the Rick Steves web site, titled "Teenage boy attire in France in June."

A commenter there links to another YouTube playlist titled "ILoveParis."

For the subset of regular Parisians/ennes that are: standing outside the Dior show during fashion week, that are fashion students and workers, that are fashion photographers at Men's fashion week, that are content creators wearing a €2300 top, that are literal models for Louis Vuitton. Which is to say that maybe they are not strictly average, but that they have more exciting styles than many.

I don't think it's your fault that the awesome clothes videos have more-awesome clothes than I expected.

Ugh this both rules so hard and fills one (for certain short, frumpy, old values of one) with such utter despair at ever achieving anything quite so good.

The second guy is wearing at least 4 layers (around 3mins in), with a coat, a suit jacket, and a sweater. What is the temperature for him to be comfortable- it's got to be far below freezing. If it's not above 0F/-17C, I'd be sweating. That's why I don't dress like that.

That weird wookie-fur coat thing is pretty popular this year. I've seen lots of people wearing it, though none in bright green like the first video. I'd not wear that either - The Grinch reformed -It'd be rude to steal his fur.
