Tremendous young Christopher Walken performance. Haven’t seen it in years and years, think of it more than once a year. Past time I revisit it.

The sound is poor in this one, but it has better picture than the other upload on YouTube.
It could also be my ears and eyes are generally crap.

This was an ex-GF's favorite movie, we watched it a bunch from a ratty VHS dub from TV.

Man that was a golden age for PBS: American Playhouse, Alive From Off Center, Trying Times. Do they do any original programming in this vein anymore?

I absolutely love the short story that this is based on. I'm not sure I even want to watch this, as I would worry that the adaptation doesn't live up to the original.

"...as I would worry that the adaptation doesn't live up to the original."

It's ABSOLUTELY worth watching in its own right.
I think it lives up to the story.

(Personally, I find it a complete delight to watch, and I re-watch it more often than I re-read it.)

@awfurby, I had to use a VPN to appear I'm from the US to view. Why the Aussie hate?
