Meet Edgar Sanchez

He's 'Helmet Man' at Kansas City Chiefs football games.
He runs a store that sells 'George Foreman grills.'
He sells hot dogs in downtown.
He appears on the radio.

And he was in the Witness Protection Program for testifying against Sheik Omar Rahman, the man behind the bombing of the World Trade Centers.

I thought the idea was to, y'know, keep a low profile. Yeesh. This guy sounds like a nut job.

Can't all be Charles Grodin. On the other hand, he was no Sammy the Bull. But from the amount of disgruntled witness-program defectors out there, it seems either the program is dysfunctional, or perhaps the type they attract is just a little off to begin with.

Interestingly, witnesses seem to fear the mob less than in days of yore.

Here's his estranged wife's response.

I wonder why they chose to hide an Egyptian man under a name like "Edger Sanchez".

i didn't think that certain crazy fans at sporting events are more popular then others; aren't they all helmet men?
edger sanchez also sounds like it started out as a joke, but then became legal.
